Candlelight concerts are everywhere these days. The Konvergencie festival offers a concert at the sviečková instead: beef sirloin in cream sauce as only bistro Emil can make it (vegan version with smoked tempeh), a glass of wine or lemonade, and the legendary middle-class chamber orchestra reviving the genius loci of old Bratislava with nostalgia and humour. Bring good spirits and good company. Bon appétit!

Marking the 120th anniversary of Ľudovít Rajter (1906–2000), Herbert von Karajan's classmate, founder of the Slovak Philharmonic and one of the composers who answered our Call for Scores. Požoň Sentimental plays Rajter's Foxtrot, Tango and Waltz (1996), written for the ensemble, alongside music by his teachers and Pressburg natives.
